Created with Apophysis 7X-15.

This is going to be one of my submissions for the Benoit Mandelbrot Fractal Art Contest 2011. This rendering took just under a day, so the 4800x8000 version I need is going to take probably under a week. :noes:

Comments and critiquing greatly appreciated. :)

This image is incredibly cool. I admit, I know nothing about this kind of art, but from an ignorant perspective- I like it. The colors sort of make it look underground, with the hot fiery center colors and the shadows creeping in from the edges. I'll be honest, when I first saw it it reminded me of a tall staircase inside a tower that you may see in a videogame, Thus, my first thought was "Oh shit- does someone have to climb that?"

Once again, if you don't mind my clueless perspective- really neat piece. I think it has a lot of different possibilities for interpretation. Which is always good, people like to think ^^

I like your perspective a lot. What is great about this art form (and many art forms in general) is that you can see art however you would like to see it unless the artist has provided a theme or reason for making said art. Glad you liked it! :)
