We invite you, wherever you are, whether you're at home or whatever, to kick your shoes off and put your feet up and lean back and, uh, get yourself a cup of coffee or something and just relax and join us in enjoying some very quiet and romantic and relaxed music for a couple of hours.

This picture really touched me. I don't know why, but it did, and I'm glad I made it.

It's tough to find inspiration when you're clean out, but whenever I get desperate, I tend to look at life in its simplest form and muse upon it, hoping that something out there can inspire me. Fortunately, something did hit me, and hard.

As of this typing, it's been more than a year since I made this fractal and I find it to be one of my most accomplished pieces ever. It's one of the few pieces where I feel that I was utterly successful in creating a piece of art that went along with the concept I was trying to convey. The atmosphere of this piece, in my own words, kills. I fell in love with it when I rendered it. It made me contemplate my existence, something I admittedly do not do often.

I'd love to hear what you think of this. How does this piece speak to you? Do you get anything out of it? Does the piece work?

Daily Deviation

Given 2009-03-08

Life, created and reaching out only to find loneliness. The only light in a dark place, the lifeform eventually relinquishes its glow and reaches out no longer.Born. Live. Die. by =TwilightAmbiance is fractal minimalism perfected. Every aspect of this piece, from what is there to what isn't there, says so much in so many ways. The abillity to say so much in so little is an astounding talent. (Featured by ^Platinus)

Very nice, calming image. I think we all set the board too high. There are so many talented artists here and I think we all try to outdo one another, or be as good as someone we admire. (just a thought) I tend to stay with what I know, or I go the other way and try to constantly learn and change and when I can't do what I hope to accomplish, I get frustrated. I liked the idea of sharing flames and scripts, so we can all learn and hope to be as good as the next guy or those we admire. (I'm rambling)

I love this. It's a great desktop too. :+fav: But, then again, I've always been a big fan of your's.

I love it.
It looks like one of those weird animals living in the depths of the sea. It could also be some kind of remanent effect.
Well I don't know but I really love it :)

If there's anything I love a lot, it's my fascination with the deep sea and its inhabitants. Glad you like it. :)

This is really great minimalism. I'm in much the same situation as you are right now. In fact, a big part of the reason I havn't been posting much here anymore is that I can't make anything I'm satisfied with these days. I've found, though, that after completing a couple of fractals, even though I didn't like them so much, I'm starting to get back into it.

Great work again man, keep 'em coming.

I think you did a fantastic job on not only stepping out of your boundaries a little, but also by really making a clear image. The feel (for me at least) is very smooth and soothing. :D Keep on trying new things!

I know what you mean...all my fractals look too...similiar...but I can't get past the plateu of ability I'm on.
