I talked to a couple people about Grand Julians, and they said that a good Grand Julian is one that doesn't loook like the usual one. So...I think this one is unrecognizable...:evillaugh:

Yes, it's bright in some places, and yes, it's a tad dark, but I couldn't do much about either of those. :(

Expect a few more Grand Julians to pop out today and tomorrow from me.

Oh, and can you spot the worm? :D

Good julian. You nailed my thoughts in your image description. It sure looks more creative than most of the other julians around, but it also has its flaws, like you stated above. What I really like in this fractal is the dirty/rusty look it has at some places. At first sight I thought it was due to a poor quality render, but a closer look convinced me of the opposite. You are going to join the contest with this one, aren't you? I think you should.

Thanks a lot! Yeah, I'm not a big fan of poor-quality renders, but sometimes that happens with Julians...this will probably be my submission, but I do have until midnight on Friday to submit, so we'll see. :)

:nod: You rocked this one--still undeniably Grand Julian, but with a good couple of twists. I do like the lighting, as well--it gives the fractal a bit more character.
