So, this is primarily where I'll be putting all the goings-on in *
Apophysis. If you don't read the club's journals, you can come here to see when the latest LTS or SFS is going on, and all of that other stuff.
Right now, I just got back from winter camping on Sunday and getting back into the swing of things. I'll be trying to set up an SFS soon.
So, I went winter camping last weekend with my stepdad and a lot of his buddies. I gotta say, it was chock full of crazy happenings and whatnot, so I'll tell you all about just a couple things that happened.
I never really noticed before (probably because I was asleep), but on our way to the campsite, we have to pass through this one town in Michigan. Guess what the name of it is:
Sparta, MI.
I thought that was absolutely hilarious. I could bet large sums of money that
300 was huge there. Wish I was there to see it.

Also, I guess at winter camping (which has been supposedly going on for 15+ years) the Porn Fairy drops by and delivers magazines to the cold individuals that attend to survive. Apparently this is a tradition. This was only my second year, and last year the Porn Fairy never came. What kind of screwed up tradition is that?

To be even stranger, there were three magazines delivered, one of which was called
Barely 18.

What kind of scary people read that? Now, I don't read porn. EVER. So I steered away from that crap. But, one of the guys was reading letters to the editor for that magazine and said I had to read one of them. So I did and, lo and behold, something like this popped out of the page:
"Dear Barely 18,
I am a 43-year-old male from Alabama who is interested in working in the porn industry. If you feel that you have any need of my services, please send me an e-mail at [his e-mail address]. I hope to hear back from you in a couple of days.
-[His name.]"
The world is a very scary place out there, and guys who are 43 years old and are looking to be porn stars in a magazine for really young women make it a hell of a lot scarier.
Anyways, that's it for now. I'll get more used to this journal as time goes by, so expect things to change. See ya.
