Biography

My name is Dennis Paiz and I am mainly an artist in the medium of Fractal Art. I've been making fractal art since early 2005. It's really a passion of mine and I always love to make them in my spare time.

The first fractal program I used was Chaoscope, which I had come upon randomly on the internet. I was pretty fascinated by the images I could make and wanted to try my hand at them. The learning curve was pretty steep at first, but I got adjusted to it after a month or so. Looking back at the hundreds of images I created with Chaoscope, they look pretty mediocre...but, during the time I used the program, I started to see what I liked and didn't like in my fractals.

Around early August of 2006, I stumbled upon Apophysis. This is the main program I use to create my fractals. Also, around this time is when I joined deviantART. Once again, m first images were pretty mediocre, but the learning curve was easier on me. It's a very user-friendly program, so I was creating some pretty interesting stuff (in my mind). After a couple months I really started to get better at the program. As of this writing, I find myself knowing lots about Apophysis and how to manipulate it. I feel my fractals are now 100 times better than they were in December 2006.

Around August 2007, I started to delve into Ultra Fractal. This is by far the most complicated fractal program yet, but it brings out amazing results when used right. I'm still much of a novice, but I hope to get better in the coming months.

So yeah, that's about it for me artist-wise. I'm constantly expanding my boundaries and always trying to bring quality and originality to my fractals. Enjoy!
